Yay or Nay: Tweeting During a Bachelorette Party?

Just because modern brides love posting wedding planning details on Facebook, Twitter and Flickr doesn’t mean they want their bachelorette party broadcast to the world. According to WeddingChannel.com there are plenty of digital does and don’ts when it comes to the wedding. “From Facebook and Twitter to foursquare and Flickr, when it comes to wedding guests, brides have more to worry about than just whether a guest will wear white,” says Sharon Stimpfle, deputy site director of WeddingChannel.com in a news release. “In an over-sharing online world, guests are posting Facebook status updates while they’re at the wedding and even trying to RSVP on Twitter, leaving brides feeling frustrated and over-exposed.”

It’s probably not a good idea to send out twit pics of the bride dancing on a table at her bachelorette party or post party photos to your Facebook photo album. But if you’re a die-hard social media fan, make sure you get the bride’s permission before doing so. Forty percent of brides said posting photos online without clearance from the bride or even a heads-up was their biggest digital wedding gripe, according to a WeddingChannel.com poll.

One in Two Brides Considering Surgery Before Wedding

A new study says more than half of Britain’s brides-to-be and nearly 40% of grooms say they’re thinking about getting cosmetic surgery or another procedure done before their weddings. These big day prep procedures range from botox to breast enhancement. The reason? According to the women that were questioned, they want to look better in photos and feel better about themselves. The grooms say they want to be more appealing to their brides. Here’s what the brides are considering having done:

Botox – 68 percent

Teeth Whitening – 62 percent

Liposuction – 55 percent

Breast Augmentation – 47 percent

Face plumpers – 43 percent

Grooms are considering these methods of improving their looks:

Veneers – 78 percent

Botox – 62 percent

Hair Plugs – 41 percent

Liposuction – 33 percent

Chest Reduction – 25 percent
