Khloe Kardashian Needs a Bachelorette Party!

Monday, September 21st, 2009

After a super fast six-week courtship, Khloe Kardashian and Lakers forward Lamar Odom announced they are getting hitched! The engaged couple could be planning a quick wedding since their pre-engagement relationship was so brief. We’ve got some great stuff picked out for Khloe’s impending bachelorette party. First up, a sexy bride tube top.

The reason we’re so sure Khloe will love this is because she recently lost 12 pounds by watching what she eats and working out with her sisters, Kim and Kourtney and we know she’ll want to show of her fab new figure. Next, we think Khloe will love to see her Kardashian sisters wearing matching tank tops.

Since the sisters are all so close, both Kim and Kourtney Kardashian will probably share the title of Maid of Honor. Order one for your maid of honor for just $15.99. Finally, we picked out these glitter stickers for Khloe Kardashian’s bachelorette party.

Khloe loves to have fun and with these stickers you know she will! Kim Kardashian will probably earn the sticker for “Best Guy Magnet” and since Kourtney is expecting she should be given the sticker that says “Cleavage Queen.” Pick up some for your bachelorette party for only $2.99.

Should the Groom be Invited to the Bachelorette Party?

Wednesday, August 19th, 2009
Life of the Party? Or Party Pooper?

Life of the Party? Or Party Pooper?

They don’t seem to want to be a part of traditional wedding party planning like picking colors or selecting a florist. But when it comes to the parties the grooms are all about it. It’s long been a faux pas, but lately more grooms seem to be showing up to the bachelorette party. Maybe it’s because they’re looking for some fun or maybe it’s because they don’t trust their bride-to-be. We want to know what you think. Should the groom be invited to the bachelorette party?

Would You Wear TOMS With Your Wedding Dress?

Tuesday, August 18th, 2009

I love TOMS. What’s not to love about comfy shoes that make a difference in the world? For every pair you buy they give a pair of shoes to someone who needs them. Cool, huh? It turns out TOMS are becoming popular with brides. TOMS says they’ll offer a special deal to brides and grooms who outfit their entire wedding party in TOMS. You just have to email them for the details.

If only TOMS came in hot pink so they would match this super cute bachelorette t-shirt.

Party Like Bachelorette Kendra Wilkinson

Party Like Bachelorette Kendra Wilkinson

Playboy bunny Kendra Wilkinson recently got married to NFL player Hank Baskett. We’re sure the wedding was amazing, but it’s the bachelorette party we’re more interested in! As you can see from this photo from Gossip Crunch, Kendra donned a super cute white veil, just like the ones we sell at The House of Bachelorette for just $8.99.

If you want your party to have a little more of a Playboy bunny feel, make sure you check out our Strip Tease Kit, the Bunny Bling Rhinestone Necklace and The Truth or Dare Game. From what we hear, Kendra’s party got a little crazy when the girls started playing games during her LA bachelorette party. Party on Kendra!

Bachelorette Jillian Says Good-bye To Foot-Loving Tanner P.

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

Did you catch The Bachelorette last night? Tanner P. knocked out one more foot rub before Jillian finally came to her senses and let that boy go. She said that, while it was nice of him to try to protect her from heart breaker Wes, that Tanner P.’s demise was that he was too wrapped up in the man-drama and not focused enough on her. I think Tanner P. was the only one surprised that he was getting the boot. But in honor of our foot fetish bachelor here are two special gifts we here at The House of Bachelorette would give him if we could:

An Extra Large Piece of Man Candy for Tanner P.

An Extra Large Piece of Man Candy for Tanner P.

The man candy is in honor of his mini strip tease that showed off his– um– big blessing. Although those of us at home just saw a blurred out pair of undies, according to Jillian his man candy was rather large! The other gift we would give Tanner P:

Some Super Cute Flips to Show Off Our Tootsies

Some Super Cute Flips to Show Off Our Tootsies

Because we all know Tanner digs the toes, we’d show them off in these lovely Sole Mates Flip Flops. And we’d be sure to paint our toenails Mango Mango so that maybe– just maybe– Tanner P. would call us a perfect 10 in the foot department.

5 Tips to having a GREEN Bachelorette Party!

Thursday, December 11th, 2008

And I DON’T mean your Color Scheme!

Like many of you Brides and Bachelortette’s out there, I want all of my wedding and festivities to – if not be completely environmentally responsible (which can be over-whelming in regards to weddings) then at least environmentally mindful. That’s what I mean when I say having a GREEN Bachelorette Party…a party that celebrates you, your friendships, your love and your wedding, while having a more minimal impact on the planet!

As I am less than 1 year from the big “I Do”- I am on a CRAZY shopping/consumption spree…the likes of which I will probably never repeat in my life-time….but…I am also concerned about the environment and our planet’s future.

Here are a few ideas I have had on how to accomplish a GREEN BACHELORETTE PARTY :

GREEN Bachelorette Party Transportation : Skip the Gas Guzzling HUMMER LIMO and opt for something a little more environmentally friendly. Walking or biking would be the top pick, but even an entourage of Hybrids would be an improvement. You can have fun decorating the car(s) for the big night, and the decorations can be reused (so pass them on to the next Bride-to-be!  Also, keeping your Bachelorette Party a local event will cut down on how far people need to travel.

What to Wear to your Bachelorette Party: If you want a Bachelorette Tee for your group of girls to wear, try an organic tee. Organic t-shirts are made of cotton grown without pesticides. Organic clothing is a hot new trend that is improving cotton farming around the world.

GREEN Bachelorette Party Decorations:  Look for decorations made from Recycled paper. Also, saving and reusing decorations is a great way to cut back.

GREEN Bachelorette Party Invitations: E-mail those party invites to your guest to save money and the planet!  Click here for some great FREE e-card bachelorette Party inviatations.

Host an Outdoor Bachelorette Party:  Sure it’s a bit non-traditional, but a hike with your girlfriends is not only earth friendly, but gives everyone a chance to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. Here is a list of outdoor Bachelorette Party Ideas:

  • The Bachelorette Olympics – Find a local Fun Park or set up your own Bachelorette Olympics – Try an obstacle course, jousting, a ropes course…you come up with the games and keep the competition going with great prizes for the Bride-to-be and the bachelorettes!
  • A Camping Bachelorette Party – Gather the tents and tell you guests to bring their sleeping bag for a night under the stars complete with a bonfire and ghost stories…What a Blast!
  • A Bachelorette Bike Ride – Start by decorating the brides bike, gathering a picnic lunch and head out on the trail with your bachelorettes! This bachelorette party will relax the bride and keep her in shape for her wedding dress!
  • Bachelorette Zip Line Party – Imaging your bride (in veil and all) zipping along above the canopy of trees in a forest! Simply find your nearest Zip Line Park and gather the bachelorettes for a day flying thru the air! Bring your camera…this idea promises a lot of great photo opportunities!
  • The Bachelorette vs. the Bachelors Baseball/Football Game -Have the bachelorette party challenge the bachelor Party to a friendly game of baseball or Football. Assign cheerleaders and come up with cheers for each team. Wear “team” T-shirts: Bachelorette for the girls and Bachelor for the guys!! ***CLICK HERE*** to see 10 more ideas for a combined Bachelor/Bachelorette Party!
  • Golfing Bachelorette Party – Spend a day on the Links with your bride and bachelorettes. Rent carts, keep scores and give out prizes…and if you meet any cute guy golfers on the 19th hole…invite them back to the clubhouse for drinks with the group!
  • Parachuting Bachelorette Party – Ever think jumping out of a plane was a good idea? Try a tandem jump with the entire bachelorette party! I guarantee an experience you will be talking about for years!
  • Horseback riding Bachelorette Party – Head to the dude ranch for a day of beautiful trail rides or equestrian feats! After the ride, take the party to the local saloon for a tall cold one and invite a few cute cowboys too!
  • Ski Weekend Bachelorette Party – Rent a condo at the local ski hill and invite your bachelorettes for a fun weekend. Spend the day on the slopes, and the evenings in the hot tub or at the local gathering place in front of a roaring fire. Be sure and check out our FREE Snow Bunny Bachelorette Scavenger Hunt, perfect for a Ski Weekend Bachelorette Party!
  • Frisbee Golf Bachelorette Party – Enjoy a round of frisbee gold with the bride and bachelorettes at your local university or college. After your round give the winners a prize and head to the local college bars for some fun and drinks!
  • Rollerblading/skating/Iceskating Bachelorette Party – Head to the local roller rink for a flashback bachelorette that everyone will be talking about. Tell the bachelorettes to dress in their favorite retro rollerskating outfits and make sure the DJ knows the bride’s favorite tunes!
  • Bachelorette Snorkeling – Head out on an undersea adventure if your near the ocean or if not – just have a snorkeling class with your bachelorettes at the local pool or lake!
  • Surfing Class with the Bachelorettes – If you lucky enough to be on a coast, give a surfing lesson a try and take the entire Bachelorette Party with you! Afterward have a bonfire on the beach, put on your party Leis and invite your cute surf instructor to join you!
  • White Water Rafting, Bachelorette Style – If you’ve never tried white water rafting this is the perfect Bachelorette Party for you! Pick adventurous rapids or a relaxing float down a lazy river – either way with your Bachelorette along for the ride, you will have a great time!
  • Rock Climbing Bachelorette – The local rock climbing gym will LOVE to host your Bachelorette Party. Be sure and request their cutest instructor!
  • The Bachelorette Habitat for Humanity Party – Get out your tool belt and grab your bachelorettes for a FUN day of helping others and building homes! Invite the hottest carpenters on the job to the “after party” at your local pub!
  • The Bachelorette “Walk” Party – Pick the brides favorite charity and join in their walk event. Get the entire Bachelorette Party matching shirts and make sure each bachelorette has a lot of sponsors donating for your group. At the end of the walk donate all of the proceeds in the brides name.
  • The Bachelorette Trash Pick-Up Party – Take the bachelorette party to the brides favorite park and spend a few hours picking up trash. After the work is over enjoy a relaxing picnic along with party games.
  • Have a Bachelorette Day at the Local Animal Shelter – Take the entire Bachelorette Group to the local animal shelter for a fun day with the dogs and cats. Volunteer to help with an adoption fair, feed the animals, walk the dogs, clean up the kennels, etc. Click here to see a great place to volunteer!
  • Take your Bachelorettes on a Segue Tour - Try a Segue for a FUN unexpected tour with all of your bachelorettes. You won’t believe how much fun a Segue can be! Really daring? Try playing a game…like segue polo, or segue hide and seek…FUN and good for the environment!!!
  • Climb a Mountain with your Bachelorettes – Pick a small mountain, perhaps a 3-4 hour hike to the top (for example: Mt. Si near Seattle would be a perfect choice). Pack some snacks and your camera and make it a quest. Most people have never climbed a mountain – and what a great memory for both the Bride and the Bachelorettes.

As always, please send me your great additions and comments! THANKS!
Have the World’s Best Bachelorette Party and …

How to have a Relaxing Spa Bachelorette Party on any Budget!

Wednesday, December 10th, 2008

If the brides idea of a great time is a soothing zen music, a glass of wine and someone rubbing her feet then a SPA BACHELORETTE PARTY may be just what the doctor ordered!

See below some ideas for this Out-of-the-Ordinary Bachelorette Party!

What’s your Budget? The first place to start is with the budget – and with a SPA Bachelorette Party you can have a great party on almost ANY BUDGET. I have broken down the ideas into 3 categories: Pampered Partier (the sky is the limit!), Discount Diva (moderate budget), Broke Bachelorette (low budget – free)!

Pampered Partier Style ($$$$)- When budget is not a concern you can go all out with a Spa Bachelorette Party. Book the bachelorettes in a 4 star resort with a large Spa Facility like The Ritz-Carlton. You can relax by the pool and plan many spa treatments and make it a long weekend full of great services such as facials, massages and mud baths. Another option is to go all out with a wellness weekend that would include spa treatments as well as diet, exercise and wellness seminars such as Canyon Ranch SpaClub. Either way you will have a WONDERFUL, RELAXING weekend Bachelorette Party to remember…and be ready for the Wedding Day Photos!

Discount Diva Style ($$)- Moderate budgets require a little more creativity. Contact your local Spas and find packages for groups of people. Many times you can get great volume discounts or at least get the brides services for FREE! When planning an entire day or afternoon at the SPA don’t forget about the food or drinks. Find out if your spa offers drinks for free, and if not, ask if you can bring the brides favorite wine or cocktail to serve. Plan to have snacks or food if you will be at the Spa over lunch or dinner. Pick the brides favorites and you can’t go wrong!

Broke Bachelorette ($)- A Spa Bachelorette Party at Home can be a great time! Proper Planning is the key to success with this type of bachelorette Party. Pick up great facial masks at your local drug store or at Lush. Pick up the tools to give each other a manicure or pedicure and paint each others nails/toes. Hire a massage therapist to come to your home (with their portable massage table) and give each bachelorette a 15-20 minute massage. Play relaxing music, pour some wine or cocktails, and enjoy each others company!

Don’t forget cute Spa Theme Party favors or a FUN game to play at the Spa like our Groom Quiz Game!

Most importantly,

How to have a Wine Tasting Bachelorette Party on any Budget!

Wednesday, December 10th, 2008

Now that you have decided you DO NOT have to have a “normal” Bachelorette Party you can enjoin a TON of AMAZING Party Options! A Wine Tasting Bachelorette Party is VERY EASY to plan, can be done on VERY SHORT NOTICE and can be a VERY LOW COST way to have a Bachelorette Party.

What is the Brides Favorite kind of wine? Once you find this out, you can build the whole party! Below are some different ideas for a Wine Tasting Bachelorette Party –

VERY LOW COST
The “Bring a Bottle” Party – When you send out the invitation you should specify that each Bachelorette needs to bring a bottle of wine. You should narrow the options by selecting a type of wine (such as Merlot) or a make a broader request (such as White Wines or Sweet White Wines). Make sure the wine reflects the bride-to-be’s preferences. Once you have selected the type wine you can plan the food. Make certain to have lot’s of breads to clean the palette between tastes. An assortment of cheeses and antipasto is a great addition to a wine tasting. Finger foods will be good choices, as one hand will be occupied with a wine glass, you want items to be easy to eat. Once the tasting is over ramp up the Bachelorette Fun by playing a GAME! For a VERY EASY solution, try a Wine Tasting Party Kit.  Usually very inexpensive and comes with a lot of the supplies you will need for a great party!

MODERATE COST
Take your group of Bachelorettes and head to the local winery. Bring blankets and plan an outdoor picnic on the lawn. Ask an employee from the winery to make wine selections and to speak at your party about the wines. In advance of the party ask the winery for a list of foods/dishes that you can prepare in advance for the tasting. Plan a FUN outdoor Bachelorette party game after the tasting. If possible plan the date of your bachelorette party during an event at the winery, such as a concert or grape stomp!  Don’t forget to bring cute party supplies like pink wine glasses and adorable Bachelorette Party Napkins

HIGH COST
Plan your party at local restaurant that is known for their exceptional wine list. Ask the Chef and Sommelier to prepare a tasting menu for your party, using the brides favorite type of wine and food that would be a good compliment. If possible reserve a private room at the restaurant and ask the sommelier to lead you tasting. (S)he can educate the Bachelorette Party guests on the flavors and attributes of each wine selection and food pairing. Prepare a gift bad for each attendee with a bottle of wine, a wine opener and other favorite items.

Other things to add
* Bachelorette Wine Charms
* A Gift for the Bride of Wine to start her Wine cellar
* A Cake shaped like a wine glass
* Bachelorette Party Music that fit’s the mood

Kitten, Please enjoy our list of FREE Games & Scavenger Hunts with our compliments!

And Most important of all!
BE WILD!
